Where to Go for Lunch?

Working in the office could be boring sometimes. It’s even bored when it comes to lunch time as we always came across the frequently asked question: ‘Where to go for lunch today?’ We always can’t decide a perfect lunch place until but hey today I wanna shared with you my perfect lunch restaurant that I found recently.

It’s a air-conditioner restaurant (Basic requirement for lunch coz the weather is sooooo hot), value for price, as well as provides fresh and delicious food with refreshing drinks. Sounds too good to be true? You didn’t see it wrongly; it’s the Lunch Gusto Menu only at Fish & Co.
Starting from only RM 10.95, there’s 8 Value Meal and 5 Premium Meal to choose from. Each set comes with a main and a drink (choose from Coke, Sprite, Ice Team or Passion Fruit). We have sampled some of them, read on to find out more.
Value Meal:

Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken (RM 11.95)
I love Caesar Salad, Fish & Co. Caesar Salad with Grilled Chicken is a lighter version. I would prefer more salad dressing.

Vongole Aglio Olio (RM14.95)
Served with clams, Vongole Aglio Olio is perfect for seafood lover.

Spagetthi Pomoooro (RM 10.95)
A simple tomato-based pasta that is great for small eater.

The Best Fish & Chips in Town (RM 16.95)
Needed more introduction, The Best Fish & Chips in Town is one of the signature dish in Fish & Co. I would order this dish whenever I miss UK.

Premium Meal:

Grilled Salmon Mediterranean (RM28.95)
 Fresh and delicious grilled salmon serve with seasonal vegetables and paella rice. I find this dish good to be shared with a girl friend or a small eater.

Seafood Lunch Platter (RM28.95)
A dish not to be missed for all seafood lover. Clams, squids, prawns, fish and mashed potato all served in this lunch platter. You could get your seafood cravings fixed in this platter.
Diners could choose to add on paella rice, chips, mashed potato, homemade coleslaw or seasonal vegetables at only RM 3.50. It’s really lunch gusto only at Fish & Co.

[Resort World Genting] Songkran Festival Buffet at Resorts World Genting

Food festivals are an excellent way to celebrate life and culture—and one will soon be held at Resorts World Genting, demonstrating the beauty of tradition and diversity. 

It is Songkran Festival 2016 from 8 to 17 April 2016 at the Coffee Terrace located on the Lobby Floor of Genting Grand Hotel. That means a sumptuous array of food, glorious food to celebrate the traditional Thai New Year. 
In Thailand, people in joyous celebration would throw and sprinkle water at each other. At Coffee Terrace, it is celebrated with a magnificent buffet spread —offering top quality and variety in its spicy and flavourful dishes as well as other milder dishes and sweets. 

The buffet dinner, served from 5pm to 9.30pm, is priced only at RM80 nett (adults) and RM40 nett (children) from Sunday to Thursday, and at RM84 nett (adults) and RM42 nett (children) on Friday and Saturday. 
Food served during this promotion are on rotation basis. Authentic Thai dishes such as delightful appetizers ie. Thai Fish Cake or Thai Otak-Otak, Satay Chicken with Thai Peanut Sauce, Fried Kampung Fish, Pandan Chicken or Thai Style Fried Chicken Wing and Thai Royal Salad.

The salads in the buffet spread are equally satisfying: from Papaya Salad with Dry Shrimp to Green Mango Salad with Crispy Cuttle Fish, Seafood Salad with Glass Noodle, Boneless Chicken Feet Salad and Thai Chicken Salad with Fresh Basil and Mint. More traditional items include Ulam-ulam like Sambal Belacan Udang and Sambal Belacan Mangga, and soups like Clear Tom Yam Seafood Soup and Tom Yam Kung.
Noodles and rice dishes tempt as well: Hatyai Thai Laksa with condiments, Phad Thai Noodle and Duck Noodle Soup or Chicken Kway Teow Soup, as well as Shrimp Paste or Crab Meat Fried Rice and Pineapple Fried Rice. 

Other mains include Tom Yam Paste Marinade Fried Chicken, Deep Fried Fish with Thai Spicy and Sour Sauce or Steamed Fish with Spicy Lemon Grass Gravy, Chicken Green Curry or Thai Red Curry Lamb, Baked Prawn with Glass Noodle or Deep Fried Prawn with Spicy Thai Dipping Sauce, Stir-fried Garden Squid with Dried Chilli Flakes or Stir Fried Chicken Slice with Hot Basil Leaf, Green Mussel with Thai Basil Leaf, BBQ Lamb and Beef, Fried Crab with Yellow Royal Curry or Fried Crab with Kaffir Lime Leaf, Oyster Egg Omelette, and Stir-fried Lamb with Garlic & Pepper.
There are plenty of vegetable dishes as well, including Fried Brinjal with Thai Fermented Beans and Prawn Meat or Mixed Mushroom with Tau Chu Thai Style, and Fried Kailan with Salted Fish and Fresh Chilli.
Diners get to end their meal on a sweet note: Mango with Sticky Rice, Water Chestnut in Coconut Milk or Tapioca in Syrup, Thai Chendol, Multiflavour Jelly, and Thai Fruit in Season are among the sweet temptations on offer. And at the Bar Counter, they can try Thai Botak Coconut and Lemon Grass Tea.

[养生篇]燕王燕窝

大家好,我们都知道马来西亚生产燕窝。我们从小就食燕窩,因为它适合一家大小食用。
燕王燕窝

中國人食燕窩可追溯至唐朝,據悉唐代女皇帝武則天經常食用燕窩養顏,繼後歷宗元迄明清,燕窩入饌之風在上流社會間始終不絕,而正列宮延御膳則由明代開始,當時東南亞附近之小國進貢天朝皇帝珍品,其中不乏極品頂級燕窩,順理成章被譽為「貢燕」或「官燕」。
明代李時珍所撰之【本草綱目】對「燕窩」已有較詳細敘述:「閩之遠海近番處,有燕名金絲……蠶螺背上內有兩肋如楓蠶絲,堅潔而白,食之可補虛損,已勞痢。故此燕食之內化而肋子化,並津液嘔出,結為小窩附石上。久之,與小雛鼓翼而飛,海人依時拾之,故曰:『燕窩』。
燕窝主要分为两类;
1. 屋燕:
燕子将燕巢筑于特设的屋子里, 屋顶用木材建造, 室内环境依照天然山洞气温, 光暗度及干湿度建筑而成, 平均温度为28°C - 30°C, 湿度约 89°C - 90°C, 潮湿阴暗。燕子早上飞离燕屋到野外觅食至黄昏时分才回到燕屋。因为栖息环境较好, 燕窝中杂质及羽毛较少及干净, 形状较完整, 似船型或匙羹形。
2. 洞燕:
野生洞燕产自远离民居的海岛, 燕子巢筑于岩洞及悬崖上, 燕子主要在大海中觅食海藻及浮游生物等。每年採燕窝2-3, 所以产量较少。野生洞燕含丰富的矿物质, 形状呈窝形, 较厚身, 炖后口感丰富味道香浓, 被业界推崇为全世界最好的燕窝。

[Food] Mr. Wolf Bar & Restaurant @ Taman Sea, Petaling Jaya

We first heard about Mr. Wolf Bar & Restaurant from Personedge’s media night last year. Since then, we are always curious about this Asian fusion restaurant and a beautiful classy neighborhood bar located on the ground and first floor in Taman Sea, Petaling Jaya. Thanks to the wonderful invitation, we finally had a chance to check it out not long ago. 
Mr. Wolf is located along LDP, nearby Taman Megah. We followed Waze instruction and reached Mr. Wolf Bar & Restaurant in an hour time from Kepong during after work peak hours. The 2 Storey building was easy to locate and ample of car parks available outside the restaurant.
We heard that Mr. Wolf changes their menu every quarterly. Let us introduce you some of the new dishes offered by Mr. Wolf this April 2016 onwards;

Deep Fried Baby Crabs & School Prawns with Chilli Lime Dressing (RM15)
We love this starter a lot. The deep Fried Baby Crabs & School Prawns with Chilli Lime Dressing is one of the best bar food we have ever tasted. They goes well with beer and wine too which is available at Mr. Wolf Bar upstair.

Deep Fried Pigs Ear and Bacon (RM18)
Deep Fried Pigs Ear and Bacon is really crunchy, best to eat when hot else it could be a lil hard when cold.

Tiger Beer Battered Soft Shell Crab Buns with Kimchi Mayo (RM12 per bun)
We love the soft buns filled with Tiger Beer Battered Soft Shell Crab, which is soft outside and crunchy inside, simply yummy.


Chicken Karaage Bun with Pickled Papaya and Wasabi Mayo (RM8 per bun)
Chicken Karaage Bun with Pickled Papaya and Wasabi Mayo is our most favourite dish among all. The Wasabi Mayo taste amazing and goes well with Chicken Karaage Bun. We would go back for more of this.

Sous Vide Pork Loin (RM32)
We thought Sous Vide Pork Loin is best paired with beer or alcohol.

Braised Char Siew (RM32)
Mr. Wolf Braised Char Siew is not like typical Chinese char siew. It is tender juicy and melts in mouth.

Black Angus Striploin (RM48)
We love the presentation on Black Angus Striploin. Served on a bed of sweet potato puree, maitake mushrooms, and capsicum, it’s simply tasty and juicy.

Slow Roasted Chicken (RM34)
The slow roasted chicken is tender, and juicy with fried quinoa and curry leaf infused buttermilk sauce.

Chocolate Fondant with Strawberry Coulis and Vanilla Ice Cream (RM18)
Chocolate Fondant with Strawberry Coulis and Vanilla Ice Cream is a simple yet classic dessert that suits everyone.

Overall, Mr. Wolf is a great place to enjoy food and mingling with friends or colleagues. We would recommend this neighborhood restaurant and bar to all.

Delightful Coffee and Desserts @ Le Pont Boulangerie

I have been wanted to visit Le Pont Boulangerie since they open last year. I finally did it on a rainy night last month. Located at Bedford Business Park, Old Klang Road, the 3 storeys Le Pont Boulangerie was bright and crowded the day we visited. 
Le Pont Boulangerieis famous with their freshly made waffles, bread and coffee. This sunny March and April 2016, Le Pont Boulangerie added a new chapter to this storied list of great marriages of taste with its specially crafted Coffee and Desserts menu.
The all new Coffee and Desserts menu aptly Named as “Sweet Sensations” features World famous coffee presented in a unique serving method, as well as six signature desserts bound to impress sweet tooths everywhere.
Coffee Origin Platter (RM18.90)

Coffee Origin Platter is a captivating 3-in-1 serving tray of Himalaya Supersonic coffee in difference enjoyment styles;
Step 1 – Savour in its pure natural state.
Step 2 – Unique combination of ingredients to unearth fullest of flavours.
Step 3 – Aromatic brew enhanced with textured milk.

Firstly, the presentation was really nice. All 3 styles were served in a wooden serving tray with a coffee bean and introduction card; the aroma of Himalaya Supersonic was fantastic. As a coffee lover, I love the premium taste of Le Pont Boulangerie’s Coffee Origin Platter; whereas our photographer prefers the step 2 where it gaves a lemonade, red currents taste in the fine filter brew coffee.

Coffee Tart (single slice - RM12.90, whole tart RM43.90)
Baked shortcrust pastry filled with coffee mix, the coffee tart has a very strong taste of coffee and it’s not too sweet. A delightful tart for all coffee lovers.


Le Pomme (RM15.90)
A warm apple tart served warm with vanilla ice cream and sour cream. I love Le Pomme as the thin cut apple taste not too sweet and not too sourly.

Apple Crumble Tart (RM10.90)
Classic apple tart on a bed of frangipane that’s topped with almond crumble. The classic Apple Crumble Tart taste great and the crumb topping gives this apple tart a delightfully sweet crunch in every bite.

Le Noisette (RM17.90)
Crunchy hazelnut and chocolate bar with mascarpone cream. This is the top pick from our photographer who loves delicious chocolate flavors pairs with crunchy hazelnut.

Peach Melba (RM16.90)

Poached peach with almond crumble and crème madame, Peach Melba is pretty and delicious. It taste fruity, sweet and creamy.
Le Pont Boulangerie is a sweet place with cool atmosphere, and in more ways than one to enjoy the great Coffee and gorgeous desserts.
