[Review] Yves Rocher Low Shampoo & Rinsing Vinegar

I love to color and style my hair, and I visit the hair salon almost every month to dye my hair. Hence you can imagine how damaged my hair is. I have tried a lot of different shampoos and haircare products over the years to achieve more healthy hair. Well, there are some products that works on me but I’ve never tried something so unique like Yves Rocher Low Shampoo & Rinsing Vinegar before.
Let me tell you why below.
Yves Rocher Low Shampoo (200ml | RM43)

According to Yves Rocher, Low Shampoo is shampoo without foam for healthy hair which is formulated with 99% of natural ingredient, 0% sulfate, 0% silicone, 0% colorant and 0% paraben which will change the way we wash our hair.
Inspired by the No Poo method (no shampoo), Low Shampoo is the new way to wash our hair without fear of damaging it. This delicate cleansing protects and respects the integrity of hair fiber and leaves hair silky and healthy. The formula is 99% of natural origin, 0% sulfate, 0% silicone, 0% colorant and 0% paraben. It is one of its kind that was launched in Malaysia in April 2016.
How to Use:

To be applied on wet hair, using fingers to spread the cream down to the ends and rinse thoroughly.
For first time users, it is recommended to use Low Shampoo alternatively with your shampoo in the beginning to allow the hair scalp to gradually recondition and rebalance itself towards the daily usage of Low Shampoo.
Verdict: Yves Rocher Low Shampoo really is no foam. The creamy texture made it easy to spread the cream on wet hair. I felt a bit awkward when using it for the first 2 weeks, but I felt in love with it eventually. Its delicate cleansing formula has made my hair clean and yet looks smooth and silky naturally. I can feel that my hair is stronger after using it for 2 months now.

More information about Yves Rocher Low Shampoo:

1.What is the difference between traditional shampoo and Low Poo?
Low Shampoo uses low concentration of natural origin cleansing agents which reduces aggressions to the hair scalp.

2. How does Low Poo cleanse without foam?
It is not the foam that washes the hair but cleansing agents. Foam is only an expression of certain cleansing agents such as sulfate.

3.What is the effect of sulfates on hair?
Sulfates are aggressive detergents and are capable of stripping your hair of natural oil. Over usage of sulfates can cause over secretion of sebum on the scalp or potential irritation.

4. What is the effect of silicones on hair?
Silicone is a synthetic polymer compound which acts as a sealant on the hair to give the hair the illusion of slip and shine. It prevents moisture from penetrating the hair shaft. Due to lack of moisture, the hair will become brittle and could lead to frizz and breakage.

Yves Rocher Rinsing Raspberry Vinegar (150ml | RM48)

Yves Rocher Rinsing Vinegar is the No. 1 Best Selling Hair Care product in Asiasince its launch in Asia last year. The formula is 98% natural, 0% silicone, 0% paraben and 0% colorant which is the botanical innovative secret to shiny hair inspired by the French traditional hair rinsing with vinegar.

Yves Rocher has developed an improved formula by combining raspberry with the French origin vinegar that is obtained from a natural fermenting process and is guaranteed of French origin. The vinegar is an acid compound known for its hair-smoothing properties and the ability to reduce lime scale build up. The formula is 98% natural, 0% silicone, 0% paraben and 0% colorant.
This genuine traditional remedy is able to seal hair cuticles to enhance the natural shine of your hair and leave it naturally radiant with fresh raspberry scent. The Rinsing Vinegar is suitable for all hair types.

The vinegar is obtained through a natural fermentation process is an acid component renowned for its capacity to smooth down hair scales and its residue-fighting powers (Eg. calcareous from water). Yves Rocher has improved the traditional French formula by selecting the natural fermented vinegar, and keeping the maximum benefits of vinegar in the formula while avoiding unpleasant consequences such as dry hair caused by the traditional formula and pungent unfavorable scent after wash. The vinegar chosen by the Yves Rocher Botanical Beauty research laboratories is guaranteed to be of French origin. Yves Rocher improved the formula to stabilized the pH of the vinegar at 4 which original pH is lower which can be aggressive for hair fiber and scalp over use.
The raspberry has been chosen for its protective properties thank to its potassium, polyphenol and vitamin E. The hair scales are smoothed down and the residues responsible for dulling the hair are eliminated, resulting soft, shiny and radiant hair.

How to Use:
1. Use Rinsing Vinegar at final rinse after shampoo & conditioner.
2. With about 5 bottle shakes, apply Rinsing Vinegar by thoroughly sprinkling over hair.
3. Lather and massage for 1 minute and then rinse with cold water. Use twice a week.
Verdict: I love its delicate and natural juicy berry scent! It seals my hair cuticles and leave them soft and smooth, shiny and radiant. I am totally converted to this after just one try. No wonder it has become the best seller product of Yves Rocher. The vinegar is packed in a beautiful transparent bottle which made it easy to monitor the usage.
The best part is both Low Shampoo & Rinsing Vinegar is retails at reasonable price. Get 2 products below RM 100 and could last me for months, I find it a steal to me.

The Launch of Toni & Guy’s SOCIALIZED Collection

It’s time to get a hair makeover as the Chinese New Year is approaching soon. Inspired by Toni & Guy’s SOCIALIZED Collection, I have just done my boldest hair colors in my life.
Toni & Guy’s SOCIALIZED Collection was launched at Apex Lounge, Zouk KL few weeks ago.
I love this style the most!
It is a creative interpretation of their Global Creative Director, Sasha Mascolo’s artistic vision, working closely with the Toni & Guy International Artistic Team to present 10 definitive cut and colour techniques for 2016.

The 8 female and 2 men’s styles range from longer lengths with distressed textures, punctuated by overgrown eye skimming fringes to short graphic shapes featuring techniques such as skin fades, strong angled disconnections and serrated graduation.
Toni & Guy see colour worn as a statement to enhance a cut with palettes of saturated retro red, electric violet and pewter and dramatic high contrasts to complement each style.
Toni & Guy’s global image and innovative concepts shared through their interaction and mixing on social media platforms represents a unity that is portrayed through the SOCIALIZED Collection.
Thanks to the sponsors including Zouk KL, Kerastase, Loreal Professionnel, label.m, Justin yap collection, Andy Bandy and Zalora for their support on Toni & Guy’s SOCIALIZED Collection.

Beautiful Tresses for The New Year by Daisuke Salon

New Year is approaching in few days’ time. With many New Year celebration parties around the corner, I have shopped a lot of new party clothes, new bags, new shoes and also prep my skin for that perfect party makeup. But what about my hair? I believe that beautiful tresses are very important in order to look great, don’t you agree? Hence, I visited my favourite hair salon, Daisuke Salonto have my hair makeover recently.
Oh My messy hair :(((

The experienced hair stylist, Daisuke-san advised me to have a haircut and dye for a change. Since I trusted his professionalism hence I have followed his advice and ready to be transformed. As usual, I was offered a complimentary cup of hot green tea while having my hair makeover.
I like how Daisuke-san trims my tresses, using his very unique and professional technique. After his detailed haircutting, my thick hair feels much lighter but they still look volumise and most importantly they look really edgy. I love my new hairstyles!
Then, Daisuke-san asked me what my favourite hair color is. I chose to dye my hair into ash-grey this time because I have never done any ash color previously. Daisuke san and his team checked my hair condition and advised that there are too many Red colors in my hairs (I dye my hair red a few times in this year) hence they need to bleach my hair first. Alright, it was my first time bleaching my hair and I felt a little bit nervous but excited because I know its gonna be awesome!
Daisuke-san instructed his assistants to wash my hair, and apply the chemical to bleach the lower part of my hair. They bleached it twice before Daisuke-san found that my hair was quite weak and he doesn’t want to damage my hair hence the bleach ended here.

Following with hair dye and treatment, Daisuke-san blow dry my tresses and style it to perfection. The end result was superb. Although my tresses doesn’t look ash-gray but I believe with the next visit it will turn out the ash color that I really wanted.
Tada! What a transformation I had hehehe. Love the hair style and colors a lot!
If you are planning to have a hair makeover like me, please free yourselves for a day and be prepared coz the whole process is long. It took me around 5 hours to complete the hair makeover. However, don’t be alarm because we could enjoy ourselves with their Free wifi, magazines and comics while waiting there. I love the comforting music that they were playing on that day; I had truly enjoyed myself like a Queen in the VIP room.
Thank you Daisuke-san for making me looks fabulous again. After a few washes, my hair color has faded to becoming ash-brown color. I guess it’s time to make my next appointment to Daisuke salon for more.
Lastly, I would like to end this post with my short Interview with Daisuke-san;
Question: Could you please tell me more about your experience in hair industry?
Daisuke: I had experience in London before moved to Malaysia. Back then, I had a small hair salon inside my apartment. I thought I would be going to Hong Kong after London but I ended up relocated to Malaysia. We are open for the 4thyears in Malaysia now, I like the weather in this country.

Question: What are the differences from Japanese customer VS Malaysian customer?
Daisuke: Japanese know what they want exactly. While Malaysian are not certain, and always ask advice /opinion from the stylist. Malaysian are also more open to new hair styles.

Question: How do you keep yourselves updated in hair industry?
Daisuke: I go back to Japan at least twice a year. During that time, I would visit local salons and supplier to know more on the latest products, and will also bring back the technology and technique.
