Brighter Tooth Brighter Smile with Philips Sonicare Flexcare+

Smile and the whole world smiles with you, the old folks always say. I believe in this, and I  feel wonderful whenever I smile but sometimes I was hesitate to open my mouth to smile due to my yellowish tooth (Blame that coffee and caffeine sigh).

Since young, our teachers and parents taught us that tooth is very important. Clean and bright tooth not only made us look beautiful, the tooth’s life is also prolonging so we could eat our favorite food forever until we are old. We don’t need to worry for spending a lot of money for tooth transplant etc.
Thankfully I have neat tooth which I quite love their appearance but there was a problems of food always stuck in between the tooth. Furthermore, I love desserts and I am a sugar addict. Hence I have been going for scaling and polishing at least once a year to make sure my tooth is clean. However, this does not solved my yellowish tooth problems.
I can’t quite coffee and hence my tooth are always yellowish. I have tried on teeth whitening before but somehow I stopped halfway due to sensitivity. Recently a Dentist recommended me the Philips tooth whitening treatment which was using the advance Philips machinery. This made me feeling curious to Philips tooth care products.
I was thinking, instead of spending a lot of money at the Dental center, why not I invest on some Philips tooth care products for home usage. So, I explored into the New Philips Sonicare FlexCare+.
I believe the most important tooth care starts with tooth cleaning every day and night. I have been using automatic toothbrush for more than 10 years now. However, the Philips Sonicare FlexCare+ gaves me totally different sensation while brushing my tooth with it. The movement is strong, and my teeth is clean and brighter after using for 2 weeks now. It helps to removes plaque too. I love how it cleans my gum and tooth and the squeaky clean feeling every time after using it. Now I could show my brighter smile because I have righter tooth with the helps of Philips Sonicare Flexcare+, yay!
Left: Before Right: After. (The pictures were original, with no edit).

The new Philips Sonicare Flexcare+ offers a dental professional-driven solution with the patented sonic technology and the innovative new Gum Care mode for improved gum health in just two weeks.
Philips Sonicare Flexcare+ package comes with comes with:
Hygienic travel cap – Love the travel cap to make sure the brush is hygience
3 Brush heads – Enough for at least 3 quarters
Interchangeable color code ring – fun and easy to identify with other family members
Handle with soft grip
Power on/off button
Philips Sonicare Flexcare+ offers different brushing modes:

1)      Clean – Complete whole mouth cleaning (2 minutes)
2)      Gum Care – Complete whole mouth cleaning (2 minutes) plus gentle cleaning for problem areas and along the gumline (1 minute)
3)      Refresh– Touch-up for a quick clean (1 minute)
4)      Senstitive – Gentle cleaning for sensitive gums and teeth (2 minutes)
5)      Massage – Gentle gum stimulation (2 minutes)

The brush comes with a two-minute timer to ensure brushing time as recommended by dental professionals. A 30 seconds interval timer indicates when the user has completed each quadrant of their mouth and signals for them to move on resulting in more consistent cleaning throughout their mouth. Its uniquely angled brush head neck allows it to reach the back teeth easier, removing plaque in those hard-to-reach areas. The bristles are in medium texture, which is quite comfortable to me.
I normally wet the bristles and apply a small amount of toothpaste, place the toothbrush bristles against the teeth at a slight angle towards the gumline, and then press the power on/off button to switch on the Sonicare before apply light pressure to maximize Sonicare’s effecticeness and let the Sonicare toothbrush do the brushing.
I read that it is recommended to gently move the brush head slowly across the teeth in a small back and forth motion so the longer bristles reach between your teeth. Continue this motion throughout your brushing cycle. User could also spend additional time brushing the chewing surfaces of their teeth and areas where staining occurs after the brushing cycle is finished. We may also brush our tongue, with the toothbrush switched on and off, as we prefer.

Sonicare is safe to use on braces, and dental restorations too.
After using Philips products for years now, Philips has become my first choice for personal care. They are reliable and effective, and is reasonable priced. Philips Sonicare Flexcare+ is priced at RM635. A bit pricey I know but it is the best rechargeable automated toothbrush that I have ever tried. It brighten up my tooth in 2 weeks time, and I also have cleaner gum now. It is definitely much more cheaper than going to the dentist hehehe. Furthermore, I believe It could last for a very long time if using with care. As my last automated toothbrush has last for more than 6 years.

Sonicare Flexcare+ could be purchased at any Philips authorised retailer located nationwide, at the Philips Brand Store in Publika Shopping Gallery in Kuala Lumpur and online via www.blipmy.com.

[Review] belif Star Products: Hungarian Water Essence and Aqua Bomb

I was back in Korea on the first day of 2016 to celebrate New Year with my dearest soulmate. During that trip, I noticed that there were a lot of new Korean brands that I have never seen before popping out on the street. But, most of them were quite empty. The crowded counters at Duty free shops were still the few famous one, and one of it is belif.
belif skin care was founded back in year 2010 in Korea. As a ‘true herbal cosmetic’ brand, belif strives to deliver the highest value and quality based on the processes and philosophy created by a UK herbalist, Duncan Napier, 150 years ago. According to belif, they only select True Herbs to deliver nature’s benefits. Not only that, belif labels all its ingredients to carry on Napiers’ tradition. Hence, we can see the label “With Napiers aqua formula. Napiers original formula’ on their star product, the Aqua Bomb.
belif products are guaranteed safe to use, because they have No Mineral Oil, No Synthetic Fragrance, No Synthetic Dyes, No Synthetic Preservatives and No Animal Origin Ingredient. Not only that, any unnecessary ingredients are avoided for the safety of use. Hence the formulas are gentle to all skin types.
Just like its believing in avoiding any unnecessary ingredients, belif is also avoiding exaggerated over-packing.
Since my skin had turned to very dry and sensitive after my Busan Winter trip, thus I have given their stars products: Aqua Bomb and Hungarian Water Essence a try to see if they could rescue my dry and flaky skin.
Hungarian Water Essence (RM170 / 75ml)

belif Hungarian Water Essence is an instant, lightweight hydration recharger serum that is powerfully effective for deep, lasting hydration. Hungarian Water Essence recharges skin's lost hydration back in an instant. This formula contains a blend of apothecary herbs, including rosemary and lavender—powerful hydrating and antioxidant agents.
I fall in love with the unique scent of belif Hungarian Water Essence since the first time using it. I apply the essence after cleansing and tone my face in the morning and night. It has an ultra-light watery texture which instantly absorbed into my skin. The hydration effect is long-lasting, leaving my skin healthy-looking, soft, and supple for a whole day.

Hungarian Water Essence is dermatologist tested and free from Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.

belif Aqua Bomb (RM155 / 50ml)

According to belif, Aqua Bomb is a mineral oil-free gel-cream that 'floods' the skin with a rush of refreshing hydration and minimizes the appearance of pores for soft, smooth, supple skin for normal to combination skin types, including oily skin, and dry skin types looking for a lightweight moisturizer. This formula contains a blend of apothecary herbs, including antioxidant-rich lady's mantle, which helps neutralize skin-damaging free radicals, improves skin elasticity, and minimizes the appearances of pores.
I love Aqua Bomb’s unique herbs scent a lot. I apply it after cleanse, tone, apply eye cream and Hungarian Water Essence twice a day in the morning and night.  I love its ultra-lightweight gel-cream texture which is easy to absorb completely into my skin. My skin feels moisturize and not oily for the whole day. I love how its hydrated and plump up my skin immediately.
The best part is, we can use it in multiple ways. Other than using it as a hydration moisturizer, it can be used for a midday moisture boost by gently tapping the gel-cream onto skin. What’s event better is, it can be used on top of makeup too. It can also be used as a five-minute emergency moisture mask by apply generously to skin and tissue off.
Similar with Hungarian Water Essence, Aqua Bomb is dermatologist tested and free from Parabens, Sulfates and Phthalates.
After using belif Aqua Bomb and Hungarian Water Essence for 3 weeks now, my skin is moisturized, and feeling hydrated again. I also like the simple packaging of belif Aqua Bomb and Hungarian Water essence. I finally know why was belif counters always so crowded in Korea. I recommend belif Aqua Bomb and Hungarian Water Essence for soft and supple skin and without worrying of heavy/sticky texture in our warm weather here in Malaysia.

The Butterfly Project | CaffeBene Bene Boxes

The month of December is a month of giving, don’t you agree? Last December, CaffeBene and The Butterfly Project Malaysia had organized a meaningful CSR program for the unfortunate kids at orphanage homes. The Bene Box Project was a collaborative effort organised by Ms. Tammy Lim (the founder of The Butterfly Project) together with Caffebene Malaysia.
Butterflies community has prepared some cute customized Bene Boxes to the children from Yayasan Seribu Harapan Malaysia. All gifts were sponsored by The Butterfly Project blogging butterflies who personalised each Bene Box with their encouraging messages and bountiful surprises be it sweets, stationaries, toys and more goodies. Even though I did not managed to join the gifts wrapping section, I was happy to join the gifts giving event and witnessed the happy moments of the kids at CaffeeBene Gamuda Walk back in December.

We, the butterflies big sisters got to sit with the children and mingle with. Caffebene has also prepared some ice cream and goodie bag for the kids.
It was myfirst time visited Caffebene Gamuda WALK, Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam. We like the place as it is huge, relaxing and bright; definitely a good place to visit with the whole family. It was a fun-day Sunday enjoying desserts together at Caffebene.
As they say, a little goes a long way. It was indeed a great time sharing sweet tales together, as you can see from the happy faces of the children.

Chocolate Museum @ Kota Damansara & Its Annual Warehouse Sales

Last Saturday was a fun filled day for me, as I discovered the First Chocolate Museum in Malaysia with my bunch of blogger friends.
Cooperate by DR Group Holdings Sdn Bhd (“DR Group”), the producers of homegrown brands such as Danson, Fidani and Millton, the prestigious Chocolate Museum is open to the public with a unique three-fold proposition(3Es) consisting of;

1)      Interactive Education
2)      Chocolate-making Experience
3)      Enjoyable Shopping
The Chocolate Museum is located at Kota Damansara, somewhere nearby the Segi College. It is very easy to locate, I just followed the directions from waze and I reached there safely. There is a huge free open air car park inside the Chocolate Museum compound. I love how easy it is for us to drive and park there.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by the founder of DR Group before having our breakfast there. Dato is a very friendly and down-to-earth person, thank you for having us there.
Then we got to learn the origin of chocolates, some chocolate history, different types of cocoa beans from the theory part of the sharing of Manager of Chocolate Museum, Mr. Mohd Azuan Arshad.
Do you know that eating chocolates bring health benefits? If you don’t know, find out more at the Chocolate Museumyourselves k.

Then we had witnessed the chocolate-making by the chocolate masters. It was a long process to make a chocolate but it’s all worth it because the handmade chocolates taste really great yummy! Not only that, the chocolatey scent in the air smells really sweet and nice too, I like it at least.
During the visit, we also got to know the Fidani brand, which is an exclusive handmade chocolates by DR Group. We have tried various Fidani chocolates, they are all delicious. I want to go back Chocolate Museum for more!

After watching the experts did their job, we were divided into groups for some activity.
Could you guess what we did at the Chocolate Museum with these given tools?
The answer is - build a chocolate dream house! We were given one hour to build a chocolate dream house and judges will judge it from the creativity, team work, cleanliness and some other criterias. It sounds impossible as none of us had chocolate making experience before but we managed to complete it with great team work, bravo.
It was such a fun time working with everyone from different publications! Thank you Lan, Emas Putih and the reporter from Utusan for working with me on that day. Our team had created a very beautiful Hipster house and we were crowned the 3rd winning group for that day, yay!
We received our prizes and goodie bags happily after the announcement, hehehe.
Showing the finish work from other groups.
2nd prize winner
Grand Prize winner

Could you guess how we ended our Chocolate Museum visiting that day?
It’s Shopping time! We had fun shopping the quality imported and local chocolates at the shopping arcade. The price there is much cheaper than retail shops outside.
Most importantly, the entrance to the Chocolate Museum is FREE! And it is open to PUBLIC!
Lastly, I want to share great news with all of you. Chocolate Museum will be having their annual warehouse sales on 29, 30 and 31 Jan 2016. Its time for us to buy the gifts for our loved ones this CNY and Valentines this Friday to Sunday!
